What is it about?
The Accidental Journalist (working title) is a semi-autobiographical account of my life as a national newspaper journalist in the late 1990s and early 2000s as seen through the eyes of the main character in the book – Sabrina Muir.
“By the time Sabrina was 22, she was partying with Britpop’s finest in the 1990s. She didn’t need to “dodge the bullet “of an arranged marriage, or ride in a taxi driven by her father. Sabrina had crossed the cultural and class divide. She was middle class and Pakistani. She was going to rock the Establishment (well perhaps) and have some fun along the way.”
